Welcome Beautiful Brides!
I'm thrilled you've found us and our new Bridal Blog! We're absolutely honored when brides consider our services. We strive to clothe our brides in only the finest of materials and the most coveted of designer labels. When it comes to wedding planning, the gown is only one piece of the matrimonial pie, but it's a delicious slice, and the most decadent to eat!
Without a doubt there are many emotions when planning a wedding. We start out with surprise and elation, slowly ebbing into confusion and save the date madness, and finally somehow ending with a massive three-ring binder compiled with every contract, magazine article and DIY project sealed in sheet protectors, alphabetized and cross referenced (guilty as charged). We know there's a lot of love in that binder, and Lord knows we'd freak if it disappeared, but it's important to bring it all back full circle and reconnect with the love behind the binder, and that's The Guy. Without The Guy, there would be no dress, no binder, no Big Day. Remember to stop and smell the roses...even when you're not at the florist picking centerpieces.
I'd like to use this blog as a way for our brides to reach out and vent. When I was planning my wedding, I had two girlfriends who were planning theirs as well. We met regularly and called it our Bridal Bitch sessions. It gave us time to connect as friends, complain about vendors who couldn't return our calls, receive great advice and solve problems. Ultimately, our time together put everything back into perspective because at the beginning, middle and end of the planning is The Guy of your dreams.
So open up! Dish! Don't be shy...we know there's a caterer who hasn't returned your phone calls. There's a wedding coordinator who doesn't communicate on your terms. There's always a venue manager who couldn't be bothered with your special requests. Knowledge is power and in the process of venting, there's always another bride out there who has been there, solved that. Let's bond in our planning and strategize as one. Together we can remind each other that all the planning is ultimately about the journey. The destination will arrive before you know it!
